A great sense of pride is dominating my thinking organ while I am moving forth to write this article. Yesterday, India has heard one of the most important judgements since independence. After being first filed in the 1961, the 'Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid' dispute case finally reached to its conclusion when a three judges bench of hon'ble Allahabad High Court's Lucknow Bench made announcement of the historical judgement.
The parties involved in the dispute might just not be satisfied with the verdict, but that is ever prevailing in a democratic republic. Parties not satisfied with the judgement can move to the upper court with their legal suit. Belonging to the class of commons I am not too bothered about the legal implications or the execution of the aforesaid judgement, but what makes me proud is the reaction of India.
While all the four crucial pillars of our reverd democracy namely executives, bureaucrats, judiciary and media felt that the decision might disturb the communal harmony in the country, we Indians set an exemplary example of co-existence and tolerance, the essentials of a successful democracy, by reacting in an unprecedented peaceful manner. We all accepted the judgement with great respect and honour, no matter how much it annoyed the religious sentiments of particular parties.
With the much celebrated Commonwealth Games are round the corner, the whole world was looking at India's reaction on the issue keenly and our peaceful reaction over the judgement has taken the world powers including the US and China by strom. They are afraid that if religious sentiments can not anymore divide the Indians, they are sure to lead the world with their natural and intellectual wealth.
Let's all welcome the acquired attitude with great honour and joy; let's preserve it with utmost care; let's enhance it with umpteen zeal and passion. Let's make India the best country in the world. The platform is ready we just need to take off well now.
So I beg words of our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to conclude it by saying "Let's believe our destiny, let's reach our goals".
Vande Matram!!
